BORWICK FISHING MATCH BOOKING
CONDITIONS FOR CLUBS 1. All
Applications for booking of matches to take place on Borwick Waters should be
made to: Booking Agent John Harding Tarporley CW6 9UW Tel: 01829-732748 2. Applications,
which will be dealt with in strict rotation, must be in writing and should be
accompanied by a self addressed envelope, in each case. Provisional reservations may be made by
telephone (01829 732748), but these will only be treated as firm bookings
when the application has been confirmed in writing, and the appropriate
reservation fee (see below) has been paid. 3. A
non-returnable reservation fee of £7.50 per match (irrespective of the number
of pegs booked), must accompany each application. The booking fee is intended to cover
administrative charges arising from dealing with the application. It is separate from, and will not be
off-set against, the peg-fee charges. 4. Apart
from ‘Open’ matches (see 5 below) and ‘Hospitality’ events (see 6 below), peg
fees will be charged at the introductory rate of £4.50 per peg booked. Other than matches booked as ‘Open’, peg
fees must be paid in full one month in advance. Failure to do this may result in the length
being re-let. 5. ‘Open’
matches: Where matches are booked
as ‘Open’ events and this is specifically stated when the application is
made, payment may be deferred to the day of the match and will be for actual
number of anglers fishing. The
subsequent payment will be at the rate of £5 per angler competing in the
match subject to a minimum payment of 80% of the number of pegs requested. 6 ‘Hospitality’
events: Whole pools may be
reserved for ‘Hospitality‘ events, peg fees will be charged at the
introductory rate of £5.50 per total number of pegs on the pool. Fees must be
paid in full one month in advance.
Failure to do this may result in the pool being re-let. 7. No
allowance will be made for cancellations or for any reduction in the number
of pegs previously booked, unless the Booking Agent has at least seven clear
days notice to this effect, in advance of the date on which the match is due
to take place. 8. Clubs
which cancel without due notice, or simply fail to turn up without any
explanation, will be invoiced at the appropriate rate, for the pegs
previously reserved. 9. Adjustments
will only be allowed in those instances where, due to circumstances beyond
the club’s control, it is ruled that the match can either not go ahead as
planned, or the number of pegs has to be reduced. 10. Special
rates will apply in the case of matches that are held exclusively for
disabled anglers or junior competitors only.
Relevant details will be provided on request. 11 Any
pegs not occupied within one hour of booked time for the start of events,
other than ‘Hospitality’ bookings, may be re-let to day visitors. 12. All
match bookings are accepted on the understanding that individual anglers
competing in the matches will possess valid Environment Agency rod licences.
Keep nets will be permitted for the duration of the match only (up to a
maximum of 5 hours) and must conform to the minimum requirement as laid down
in the Environment Agency bye-laws. All fish are returned to the water as
carefully as possible, after being weighed at the angler’s peg. 13. No
litter or rubbish is to be deposited in the water or on adjoining property by
anglers taking part in the match and all competitors must remove all litter
from their pegs at the end of the match.
Failure to do this may result in the competitor and club being charged
for litter removal. 14.
Participants must abide by bye-laws, regulations, terms
and conditions in force, which may be inspected on request. |
