4 metre Whips (poles)
can be loaned free of charge. A £5 returnable
deposit is required which will be returned when the pole is returned in good
condition. Rigs are available
consisting of 4 metres of line, a weighted float and hook together with a few
pellet hookbaits for £1 which just need to be fastened on the end of the
pole. The rigs and the £1 are non returnable. Beginners are
recommended to start fishing on either Little Brooker, Gatenby, Burn or the
Last Blast where fish are generally between 8oz and 1lb (though there are
some bigger ones) and can be caught close in. The poles have been
tested on these pools and Orfe, Koi, Ghost Carp, Gold Tench, Rudd, Ide and
Crucians up to 2lb have been caught. |
